Prayer of Prayer

Rev 8:3-5

Oh Eternal God, Help me. Help me to comprehend, know, realize, trust and believe that the prayers I offer up to You today and even all the past days prayers, have been heard by your Gracious ears, Your compassionate, understanding, loving heart, and Your Infinite Mind. You Lord, know the very thought and intent of my prayers whether I verbalize it correctly or not. You still have them all; I can trust, relax and believe in Your active response even now and from now on. I can know and be confidant that my prayers have not been, and will not be forgotten by You.

I believe in You,
I can Trust You,
I do trust You,
You Oh Lord, have an eternal memory You will not ever forget what I’ve expressed; whether it was with my voice, heart, mind or emotions. I can believe in your Grace, Love and faithfulness to me as You have already revealed to us clearly portrayed in Jesus Christ.

You My LORD, my God, and Savior will always have before You the request I have laid at your feet, on your alter or put in Your hand even from all past prayers, you have not forgotten. I can believe You know all about it all, and I can trust You with it all, and be confident You are working on it all even right now.

I believe in You,
I can Trust You,
I do trust You,
Almighty Sovereign Lord God.  My prayers are not tossed aside like a discarded paper to-do list crumpled and thrown in the trash as if a worthless thing. On the contrary; they are precious to You and bring you pleasure. You keep them before you as incense on the altar of the fire of Your Love, a sweet smelling aroma before You at all times. My name, and my new name are written in Your Book and my prayers are all noted alongside it.

The magnetic force of Your Love holds my request to the door of Your Heart as my notes on the door of my refrigerator with all the good things inside I see as the light comes on. As portraits of Loved ones and pictures of places of significance; my appeals hang on the walls of Your Throne Room in clear sight on every side at all times as your tender gaze looks upon them in thoughtfulness of me and my life. It all matters to You, You care, You see, You know, You understand like no one does or possibly could.

I believe in You,
I can Trust You,
I do trust You,
You Oh Lord God of all time and events are working for my, and everyone’s good, salvation, deliverance, healing, and provision. As each second passes, Your sovereign providential movement of life, people, situations, and things are evidence demonstrating your working in all; the answer to my prayers and theirs. Even Now, Your Spirit is steadily, consistently, meticulously at work in the background of the circumstances and events of life to bring about the Goodness of God; I will initially perceive it in my spirit, and then in fact witness and receive it. I believe I will receive from Your Good hand the best of my heart’s desire.

I believe in You,
I can Trust You,
I do trust You,
In Your omnipotent omniscient sovereign providence and omnipresence at all times; in every circumstance, situation, and dimension. I know all things are working in perfect order and harmony with Your good will. I can and do trust You. Yours, Almighty LORD of all, is the entire Creation and Universal Kingdom, All the Power, the Sovereignty and all the Glory throughout all Ages. For Your Universal Kingdom is a perfect Kingdom, working flawlessly, for our supreme good. Help me grow and be established unmovable in my love, faith, faithfulness and trust in You Oh Lord and God of Heaven and Earth, Ruling in every realm and dimension.

I believe in You,
I can Trust You,
I do trust You,
As I ponder the unfathomable perfect plan you are working out for all your creation; the peace of God that pass all understanding floods my soul. Brilliant light illuminates my mind as the Anointing Spirit of the Anointed One – Christ and my spirit merge, unite and amalgamate into a new creation, born from above in the heavenly realms; yet wonderfully experienced in the here and the now, praise God! I cannot see how the wind blows or the Spirit moves, tho I experience it knowing it is You there working in me and through me the answer to my prayers. My voice does not have to reach to the heavens; For in You we live and move and have our being, You are not far from any one of us. I walk by faith and not by sight.

I believe in You,
I can Trust You,
I do trust You,
I am established in this Truth: That you always hear and remember what I ask for, You understood what I said. If I ask you for an egg, You would not give me the serpent. You have answered, You are answering, and You will absolutely answer all my prayers past, present, and future, you know and have not forgotten these prayers according to your predetermined plan in Your unlimited Grace, immeasurable Love, incalculable wisdom, and unsurpassable power. Even if the answer is No, you are working out a far superior answer in your boundless Grace, wisdom and Love; Over-Ruling my present shortsighted request from my human worldly point of view.

I believe I will see the Goodness of God in life even while I wait for the answer while it comes; and for sure, it will come at the proper and perfect time. I Thank You and Praise You ahead of time regardless of my circumstances for the answer to my prayers. Thank You Oh LORD, GOD THE ETERNAL ALMIGHTY for hearing my prayers and for what You are doing in my life even NOW at this very moment.
As I have received these words in the Spirit, in accordance with Jude’s inspiration I build myself up on my most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
I believe these words,
I receive these words,
I possess this truth now.
In my spirit and the Spirit of Christ
and the Name of Jesus,
I declare it is so,
and so be it. Amen.

Jesus said: Mk 11:24 (NIrV)
24 “So I tell you, when you pray for something, believe that you have already received it. Then it will be yours”
[even though you do not see it now – believe now]

Mat 21:22
“And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Psa 5:3
In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.

Psa 139:1-6 O LORD,
You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar.
You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all.
You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it.

Php 4:6
Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have.

In closing, I try not to forget one of Jesus Christ’s most telling parable teaching on prayer.

““Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don’t cheat, I don’t sin, and I don’t commit adultery. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’ “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”” (Luke 18:9–14, NLT)

Walking in Darkness

Walking in Darkness

Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness

“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.” (1 John 1:5–10, NIV)

Verses 6-10. What these verses are saying; contrary to the traditional view; is “If we claim to have fellowship with him yet are hiding some things in our lives (darkness) we don’t want people know rather than being completely honest and open about ourselves (light) as he has revealed all about himself for all to see; we are only faking it. These verses cannot be referring to a sinless life (vss. 8-10) or else “purifies us from all sin” would be pointless as there would be no sin to purify. See also John 3:19-21; Eph 5:8, 1Jhn 1:8 Jhn 8:12 Col 1:15

Verse 7. Read that carefully, it is saying that people “Sin while walking in the light” Shocking isn’t it! Nevertheless, it says that if we are walking in the light and having fellowship with one another… – it is THEN that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin – which, in this context would have to have been committed while walking in the light and in fellowship with one another; staying in context that is….

Something to think about…

Everybody wants to see things change…

Wait... Wait... Wait...

Everybody wants to see things change… Nonetheless, who is actually responsible for things changing? Most are just waiting for change to happen, sort of wishful thinking or keeping a positive attitude. Yet, is this how it will come? I’m a believer in the Holy Scriptures as a rule and guide for all things; as antiquated as that may sound, it has not failed me yet!

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

(2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV)

This popular verse is often quoted as an answer to our nation’s woes. It is a good one and if we look closely at the wording it says much more than initially comes to mind.

Notice God says “If my people” He doesn’t say hey everyone! He puts the obligation on His people. It’s true, all people are not God’s people. This is why God makes a distinction here. It is up to the Christians whether this Nation stands or falls, is prosperous or goes bankrupt, has just or unjust laws and lawmakers. I know that this is speaking to Israel many years ago; nevertheless there is a principle here that stands throughout the ages. God has put this world and the rulership of it in “His People’s” hands. Yes Adam lost this authority in the fall; but Jesus Christ turned it back over to His followers when He Defeated the devil and his unholy herd of demons many years ago making a public spectacle of them through the victory won at His cross and resurrection.

“And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

(Colossians 2:15 NIV)

Today, “Called by my name” would be easy enough to understand to mean Christians. We are God’s people of the book; if you believe the whole message from Genesis to Revelation. The word “Called” is also interesting as it refers to those “Called out” which is the exact meaning of the word Church in the original Greek. Called also comes from a root word which interestingly means “to meet’ or  happen to ‘encounter”. This could also refer to any situation when a couple of Christian friends come together. When meet together as a Church or a couple friends we should be praying for our country if we expect God to act and change or heal our land.  It is good to keep in mind that the original word here translated “pray” also sometimes has the meaning of “Judge or make a judgment of right and wrong” it is so used in 1 Sam. 2:25, Psa. 106:30, Ezk. 16:52 This should warn us of calling right wrong and wrong right so not to be desensitized by the world’s sickness and fall into a trap of praying the wrong way.

This has been God’s mode of operation throughout history. God first calls His people to turn from their own sins, (Get the beam out of your own eye before trying to remove the speck from your neighbor’s eye Matt. 7:3-5) then to join together in praying for Him to act in the hearts and minds of those who are in leadership. Only then will we see the change we desire; it’s not just going to happen by wishful or positive thinking. God is in charge, yes, He has a wonderful plan to restore any situation, yes; but it always calls on and includes us as we work together with and through Him by the Holy Spirit,  in the restitution, and reconciliation of the world.

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

(2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV)

“for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky””

(Philippians 2:13-15 NIV)

Then and only then will we see real change.

It’s up to us, God has handed us the baton and said “run with it, I’ve given you the victory in Christ!”

We should remember, John the Baptist proclaimed a similar message to the people of his day, although in much stronger language. He was warning them not to become too comfortable just because they thought they were God’s people.   Matt. 3:1-12

A bit about me to get started.

ImageImage

Let’s see, I have two of the cutest little Maltese dogs you ever saw. They are my constant companions and best friends. We are a team, we eat, sleep and play together. We take walks and have talks. We love to play fetch and eat treats. Life is so filled with joy to them they bounce up and down and run in circles they cannot contain it; so it runs over into me and I love it! They can make me smile when it’s the last thing I want to do.

I have written a lot about religious views, some poetry, some technical stuff, RVing, and general life experiences. There is no telling what I might write about on this blog. It’s just me Daniel W Isrite and my life; love me or hate me, take me or leave me, I am who I am. I like to express my opinions but I am teachable, open minded to a point, however some things are ‘in my opinion’ no-brainers and non debatable; at least it would be a senseless waist of time ‘in my opinion’. Although opinions are like passing gas; everybody does it, some just don’t want anyone to know it’s theirs. They would rather share someone else’s and hide behind whoever it might be they’re quoting; that way they don’t have to own it. You see a lot of that on Facebook and twitter. I suppose I do it too at times like everyone else; but then there are times I just let my words fly and tell the world what “I” think. Although I have written some things I wish I hadn’t; it’s kinda like toothpaste, once it’s out there there’s no putting it back.

I like reading although I am a slow reader. I have took speed-reading courses and tried all the tricks but nothing really helped me. Oh yes, I increased my reading speed dramatically according to the test but usually didn’t have much of an idea what I just read! So the thing about more retention and comprehension didn’t work for me. I listen to a lot of books with Audible while I’m driving and enjoy it, still, it’s just not the same as reading it. I also read a lot on my iPad, and Mac (the iPhone is just too small for me to read much) even so, digital reading is just not like holding a book in your hands and reading words off a page. It really doesn’t make sense, it’s the same thing, but not the same…? Can I say that? I have literally thousands of books in my digital libraries for different purposes (Mostly for study) I use them for reference for the most part accept for some titles on my kindle and iBooks account. Digital books also makes it a lot easier to copy and paste when I want to quote something. I have books on almost everything I could think of. I also have a large library in my study that mostly collect dust. I have so many interests it’s hard for me to focus on one thing for very long. Maybe I have ADD I don’t know. Then there are times when I am zeroed in on something like a laser and I won’t let up till I take it to a conclusion even if it means staying up till the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes I just need to know, ya know? My brain wont let me rest till I know that I know.

I like the outdoors and nature. I love being in the mountains, or out in the boonies by a lake or on a sea shore. This is why I like RVing. As a matter of fact that is where I am right now, looking out at the lake as I type these words. I used to ride motorcycles cross country and tent camp. I did that a lot until I had an accident at work that injured my neck leaving some nerve damage. I can still ride, but I like to ride big bikes and I don’t think it is all that safe anymore for me with the possible side effects of the nerve damage flaring up at 70 mph. with a 900 lb. bike under me. Maybe I should get a scooter… Anyway, I traded in the big bike and bought an RV, well, three before I got settled on one; kinda the goldilocks thing… RVing is what I do now whenever I can; which is pretty often since I’m retired. My wife is still working and I do have an elderly mother that needs me to not stay away too long so that kinda keeps me from only seeing life through the windshield and rearview mirrors for now. RVing is more than just recreation for me; it’s therapeutic and the perfect setting for the few things I can be productive at and I like to do. I could even see it being a lifestyle someday.

I am a Christian but I am also a thinker. I don’t believe everything someone tells me because they have some title or are standing behind a pulpit. I have even been behind that pulpit myself many times and many times I’m sorry to say, I was wrong, sincere, but sincerely wrong. The difference is when I am wrong I will admit it when it is proven to me that I am wrong; publicly if I need be. Many will not do this because their livelihood depends on being right or at least in agreement with whatever denomination is telling them what is right and or wrong. I was never in that position as I always worked at a regular job. Teaching and preaching was always something I considered a gift so I figured I should return the favor and make it a gift as well. I was put on a salary once but soon refused it. I cannot count how many different views I followed thinking I was right at the time, only to find later on I was mistaken yet again. Now? Well now, since about 8 months ago I decided that the bible is my only rule of faith and practice. Many will say that is what they adhere to as well, however, when confronted with an obvious discrepancy in their teaching as apposed to what the bible actually says; they will dance around the issue quoting from this commentary and that expert Dr. So-n-so, juggling words like a circus clown in a bin full of beach balls. Anything but admit they must be wrong; that is if the bible is their sole source of truth. Anyway, I’m off on a rabbit trail here. I’ll just say, if the bible says it, I believe it, if it says it’s right, it’s right, if it says it’s wrong, it’s wrong. I’ll just say I do not wear any Christian labels, I’m just a bible believer, Jesus follower, and kid of the King of the universe who thanks God everyday for His forgiveness. I’m sure I’ll say more about all that later.

So that’s a little about me and what this blog may be used for. Feel free to leave a comment.

Peace,
Daniel W Isrite
